Sunderland

In 1884 Sunderland won their first trophy, the Durham Senior Cup playing in all-blue! By 1886 Sunderland were playing in the now famous red & white stripes and the home shirt has remained virtually unchanged ever since. Apart from the early 80’s when French sportswear firm Le Coq Sportif designed a shirt with wider white stripes and thin red ones, the kit was very unpopular with fans and dropped by 1983. In our Sunderland retro shirts with have two classic shirts from the 1913 and 1937 F.A. Cup games.
