Burnley
Burnley have worn a number of different coloured kits since their formation in 1882. Early kits included a blue & white striped shirt, black shirt, pink & white shirt and a green shirt. It wasn’t until 1910 that Burnley started to wear the now familiar claret and blue, it is said that a club committee changed the kit from green and white as it was deemed unlucky. Since then Burnley FC have enjoyed mixed fortunes in the football leagues. Riding high in the 1960s and suffering relegation in the 1970s.Today the team have again reached the top flight of English football. The 2009-2010 season will see Burnley take on the premier leagues big boys once again at Tuff Moor. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of their last League Championship win, Burnley will wear a replica of the kit worn during the 1959-60 season, complete with the crest of that period for their first ever season in the Premier League.
