Birmingham City

Birmingham City

Birmingham City have worn blue home shirts since the clubs formation in 1875. Only once has Birmingham City changed it’s home shirt colours. In 1889 Birmingham wore black tops for one match, players and spectators complaining that the team were virtually invisible! and the shirts were dropped. Away shirts worn by Birmingham have been more varied, we especially like the ‘German Flag’ design worn in 72-73 and 73-74, Worn just a handful of times and notable for its tendency to render wearers almost invisible under floodlights! City seem to like these invisible shirts!
